2020 | New HWO research “Hashtag Vaccino”

The new research titled “Hashtag Vaccino” by Health Web Observatory related to the impact of COVID-19 in the culture of prevention and the new approach to flu and vaccination strategies was presented during October 21 webinar .

Research was conducted through the HWO methodology of social media listening carried out with the identification of keywords (flu vaccination and/or Coronavirus) in the period from January to September 2020. 53,511 online posts were analyzed and presented the data of a survey conducted with 2,920 interviews in August 2020 on the willingness to get vaccinated. There is an improvement in “sentiment” on flu vaccination, with a growth of 6% in 3 years, which stands at 22%. Instagram has the best positive rating with 27%. It should be emphasized that the most popular posts concern the availability of flu shots to the citizens.
